Transliteration:( Zaalika bi annal laaha Huwal haqqu wa anna maa yad'oona min doonihee huwal baatilu wa annal laaha Huwal 'Aliyyul kabeer )
"And that is because Allah is the only truth, and whomsoever they worship beside Him, it is the false, [128] and because Allah is the High, the Great."
This verse declares that only Allah is the Absolute Truth, while whatever is worshipped besides Him is false and baseless.
It does not refer to the Prophets or saints, who are true and belong to the One who is Truth. Their honour and actions are real, and they were never worshipped rightly, but rather through images, symbols, or false beliefs.
Thus, false worship is condemned—not the noble personalities themselves. Allah is Exalted and Great, above all falsehood.
The tafsir of Surah Al-Hajj verse 62 by Ibn Kathir is unavailable here.
Please refer to Surah Hajj ayat 61 which provides the complete commentary from verse 61 through 62.
(22:62) So shall it be because Allah, He is the Truth, and all whom they invoke instead of Him are false.[109] Allah is Most High, All-Great.
109. As Allah is in fact the Sovereign of the universe, His worshipers will surely attain true success and the worshipers of false gods will meet with utter failure.
