Transliteration:( Wasbir wa maa sabruka illaa billaah; wa laa tahzan 'alaihim wa laa taku fee daiqim mimmaa yamkuroon )
"Be patient, and your patience is only with Allah’s help. And do not grieve over them or be distressed because of their plans [283]."
This verse commands the Prophet ﷺ to remain steadfast and patient, but clarifies that true patience is only possible through the help of Allah. One cannot bear immense trials, plots, and opposition from enemies except with divine strength.
The verse comforts the Prophet ﷺ and by extension all believers:
Do not grieve over their disbelief and mockery.
Do not be distressed by their conspiracies and plots.
These kinds of schemes were always directed at the earlier Prophets too. But Allah has always protected His messengers and granted them victory in the end.
💡 All of these divine promises were fulfilled—the Prophet ﷺ was protected and ultimately victorious over his enemies.
