Transliteration:( Wa in ta'uddoo ni'matal laahi laa tuhsoohaa; innal laaha la Ghafoorur Raheem )
"And if you were to count the blessings [36] of Allah, you could not enumerate them. Indeed, Allah is Most Forgiving and Most Merciful [37]."
Allah Almighty has granted us innumerable blessings, both internal and external. These include physical health, intellect, guidance, faith, sustenance, safety, and many more. Some blessings are clearly visible, while others operate silently and continuously, such as the functioning of our organs, the protection from unseen harm, or the inspiration in our hearts.
Even if we tried to count or list them, we would never be able to encompass all of them, let alone fully express gratitude for each one. This verse reminds us of our utter dependence on Allah and the limitlessness of His favor.
Despite mankind’s disobedience, negligence, and even polytheism, Allah Almighty does not withhold His blessings. His mercy and forgiveness remain open—He continues to provide even to those who reject Him.
Moreover, for those who repent sincerely, Allah forgives even their gravest sins. This verse beautifully combines the overwhelming generosity of Allah in giving and His limitless capacity to forgive, encouraging believers to turn to Him with gratitude and repentance.

Please refer to Surah Nahl ayat 14 which provides the complete commentary from verse 14 through 18.
(16:18) For, were you to count the favours of Allah, you will not be able to count them. Surely Allah is Ever Forgiving, Most Merciful.[17]
17. Here the connection of Allah’s attributes, “Forgiving and Compassionate”, with the preceding verse is so obvious that it has been left unmentioned. It is this: Though Allah goes on showering countless blessings upon people, they behave in an ungrateful, faithless and rebellious manner towards Him. He does not punish them immediately, but gives them respite, for He is Forgiving and Compassionate. This is true of both individuals and communities. There are people, who deny even the existence of God, yet He goes on bestowing His favors on them for years. There are others who set up partners with Him in his attributes, power and rights, and show their gratitude to others than Him for His blessings, yet He does not withhold His favors from them. There are still others who profess to acknowledge Him as their Creator and Benefactor, yet rebel against Him and are disobedient to Him and consider freedom from Him to be their birth right, but in spite of all this He continues to shower His countless blessings on them as long as they live.
