Transliteration:( Wa yaj'aloona lillaahi maa yakrahoona wa tasifu alsinatuhumul kaziba anna lahumul husnaa laa jarama anna lahumun Naara wa annahum mufratoon )
"And appoint for Allah what they themselves dislike [127], and their tongues lie, saying that they will have the best [128]. There is no doubt that for them is the Fire [129], and they are those who have crossed the limits."
This means that the disbelievers do not desire daughters or partners for themselves, yet they attribute these to Allah Almighty (Allah forbid!). This reflects their gross hypocrisy and illogical thinking, assigning to the Creator what they themselves would never accept.
Reason for revelation: The disbelievers used to claim that even if the Holy Prophet ﷺ was truthful and the Day of Judgement truly occurred, they would still be granted Paradise.
As Allah quotes them:
"And even if I be returned to my Lord, for me there is good with Him." (Surah Fussilat 41:50)
This verse was revealed to refute such arrogant and baseless claims. Their deeds are evil and hellish, yet they expect reward. It is like sowing barley and expecting to harvest wheat—a complete disconnect between action and outcome. Their denial of the Hereafter was evident, even while pretending to hope for reward.
This means their eternal abode is the Fire. They are indeed the ones who have crossed all limits—in belief, in speech, and in action. Thus, the verdict of Hell is not just justifiable but absolutely certain.

(16:62) They assign to Allah what they dislike for themselves and their tongues utter a sheer lie in stating that a happy state awaits them. Without doubt the Fire awaits them and it is to it that they shall be hastened.
