Quran-16:88 Surah An-nahl English Translation,Transliteration and Tafsir(Tafseer).

Transliteration:( Allazeena kafaroo wa saddoo 'an sabeelil laahi zidnaahum 'azaaban fawqal 'azaabi bimaa kaanoo yufsidoon )

88. Those who disbelieved and separated from the path of Allah, We increased torment upon torment because of the mischief they used to do (195)

Surah An-Nahl Ayat 88 Tafsir (Commentry)

  • Tafseer-e-Naeemi (Ahmad Yaar Khan)
  • Ibn Kathir
  • Ala-Madudi

195. From this we learn that the punishment of the one who misleads severer than the one who is misled because his crime is greater - i.e. to go astray himself, and to lead others astray. It should be remembered that all those whom he would mislead, he would be punished for all of them. Thus, the fire in which he will be thrown will be more intense. the serpents and scorpions would be more poisonous, and he would be made to drink the blood and pus of all the inmates of Hell.

Ibn-Kathir

85. “We will increase punishment over punishment”: one for their own disbelief and the other for hindering others from the Way of Allah.
