Transliteration:( Wa taral malaaa'ikata haaaffeena min hawlil 'Arshi yusabbihoona bihamdi Rabbihim wa qudiya bainahum bilhaqqi wa qeelal hamdu lillaahi Rabbil 'aalameen (section 8) )
"And you will see the angels [188] surrounding His Authority, glorifying the praise of their Lord. And it will be decided between them justly. And it will be said [189]: 'All praise belongs to Allah, the Lord of the universe [190].'"
O Beloved Prophet ﷺ, on the Day of Judgement, you will witness angels encircling the Divine Throne, glorifying and praising their Lord. This scene will resemble how pilgrims perform Tawaf of the Ka'bah, and it reflects the utmost respect and submission of the angels. According to Tafseer Roohul Ma’ani, this moment occurs after the angels are resurrected.
The phrase "between them" refers to human beings, not angels. The angels are neither accountable to the laws of Shari’ah nor are they sinful. Hence, judgement will be passed only concerning humans and the jinn. The righteous jinn will be spared Hell, while the sinful among them will face punishment. Thus, this verse clearly distinguishes that the Day of Judgement is for those who were tested.
This concluding verse reveals that praise of Allah will resound even in Paradise, not as an obligation, but as a joyful expression of love and gratitude. The praise will be natural and sweet, unburdened by any hardship, and will signify the eternal acknowledgment of Allah’s justice, mercy, and lordship over all worlds.
Thus ends Surah Az-Zumar with a grand image of divine justice, eternal praise, and the exalted status of Allah — the Lord of all the worlds.
75. And you will see the angels surrounding the Throne from all round, glorifying the praises of their Lord. And they will be judged with truth. And it will be said, “All the praises and thanks be to Allah, the Lord of all that exits.”) Allah tells us how He will pass judgement on the people of Paradise and Hell, and put each of them in the place fitting for him and for which he is suited; this is justice from Him and He is never unjust. Then He tells us of His angels who surround His majestic Throne, glorifying the praises of their Lord, extolling and magnifying Him, and declaring Him to be above any shortcomings or injustice whatsoever, for He has passed judgement in the fairest and most just manner. He says:
(And they will be judged) meaning, all of creation.
(with truth.) Then He says:
(And it will be said, “All the praises and thanks be to Allah, the Lord of all that exits.”) meaning, all of creation, whether animate or inanimate, will speak words of praise to Allah, the Lord of all that exists, for His wisdom and justice. These words are not attributed to any specific speaker, which indicates that the whole of creation will testify to His praise. Qatadah said, “Allah began His creation with praise, as He said,
(All praises and thanks be to Allah, Who created the heavens and the earth) (6:1). and He ended it with praise, as He says:
(And they will be judged with truth. And it will be said, “All the praises and thanks be to Allah, the Lord of all that exists.”).”
(39:75) You shall see the angels surrounding the Throne, glorifying their Lord with His praise, and judgement will have been made among them with fairness, and it will be proclaimed: “All praise and thanks be to Allah, the Lord of the whole Universe.” [85]
85. That is, the entire Universe will proclaim the praises of Allah All-Mighty.
