Transliteration:( Am lahum aalihatun tamna'uhum min dooninaa; laa yastatee'oona nasra anfusihim wa laa hum minna yus-haboon )
"Have they some gods who protect them besides Us? They cannot protect [68] their own souls, and nor against Us may they have company with [69]."
This verse refutes the idea of taking idols or false deities as protectors. Allah asks:
“Do they have any gods besides Us who can protect them?”
These so-called gods cannot even protect themselves, so how could they offer safety to their worshippers?
Therefore, such worship is not just useless—it is actually harmful, as it leads to misguidance, delusion, and ultimate loss.
Unlike the believers who are promised divine help and support, the disbelievers will have no alliance or assistance against Allah.
There will be:
No helper
No mediator
No escape
This verse makes it clear that security and success come only through Allah, not through imaginary gods or worldly alliances.
