📖 Commentary of Surah Al-Anbiya – Verse 88

"Then We responded to his call and delivered [135] him from the grief, and We shall likewise deliver the Muslims [136]."

✅ [135] The Blessed Relief and Sacred Sanctuary

Allah accepted the heartfelt plea of Hazrat Yunus (peace be upon him) and, after forty days, the fish released him onto the shore. This event was not only a sign of divine mercy but also a mark of honour—even the belly of the fish became sanctified, considered more sacred than the Throne (Arsh) because it served as the temporary abode of a Prophet.

It is also said that through the blessings of his prayer, Allah granted him light and air even inside the fish's belly, protecting his life and dignity in that miraculous space.

✅ [136] A Promise of Deliverance for the Believers

The verse ends with a glorious reassurance:
“And We shall likewise deliver the Muslims.”

This hints that whoever recites the prayer of Hazrat Yunus (peace be upon him)
"La ilaha illa Anta, Subhanaka, inni kuntu minaz-zalimeen"
sincerely during times of difficulty, will be granted relief and deliverance by Allah’s mercy.

It establishes a timeless sunnah of turning to Allah in despair and trusting in His mercy and power, knowing that the same divine help that saved a Prophet will also reach those who believe, remember, and call upon Him in devotion.
