Transliteration:( Wa nasarnaahu minal qawmil lazeena kazzaboo bi Aayaatinaa; innahum kaanoo qawma saw'in fa-aghraq naahum ajma'een )
"And We helped him against a people who belied our signs [112]. Indeed they were evil people, so We drowned them all [113]."
Allah supported Hazrat Nuh (peace be upon him) by granting him miracles and then destroying his opponents.
The help given includes both the preservation of his believing progeny and the downfall of those who denied his message. The second part—their destruction—is explicitly mentioned in the next portion of the verse.
Allah drowned every single disbeliever, leaving no infidel alive on the earth.
This was in response to Hazrat Nuh’s heartfelt supplication:
"O my Lord! Leave not of the infidels any inhabitant upon the earth" (Surah Nuh: Verse 26).
Thus, their total annihilation was a direct outcome of prophetic prayer and a manifestation of divine justice.
