Transliteration:( Qaala laqad kuntum antum wa aabaaa'ukum fee dalaalin mubeen )
"He said, 'Indeed, you and your fathers are in manifest error [85].'"
When Ibrahim (عليه السلام) declared that both his people and their forefathers were in clear misguidance, it was a direct and fearless rejection of centuries of inherited falsehood.
This verse highlights three important lessons:
No one’s opinion — not even that of elders or relatives — holds weight in religious truth.
Truth is based on revelation, not respect for status or age.
Taqiyyah (feigning belief or hiding the truth) in fundamental religious matters is not allowed.
Ibrahim (عليه السلام) openly declared the falsehood, despite knowing the consequences.
Religious truth is not determined by majority opinion.
Even if the entire world agrees on falsehood, it remains false.
The truth lies with the Prophets, not with public consensus or tradition.
This statement from Prophet Ibrahim (عليه السلام) is an enduring lesson in courage, clarity, and conviction.
