Transliteration:( Summa sadaqnaa humul wa'da fa-anjainaahum wa man nashaaa'u wa ahlaknal musrifeen )
"Then We made Our promise good [16] to them, so We delivered them and those whom We pleased and destroyed the extravagant." (Kanzul Imaan Translation)
This verse refers to the fulfillment of Allah’s promise to the Prophets and the righteous.
Allah destroyed their enemies, and saved them along with those whom He willed—i.e., the believers and obedient followers.
These pious souls were granted deliverance, and in the Hereafter, eternal reward, while the extravagant (transgressors) were wiped out for their rebellion.

(21:9) Then We fulfilled the promise We had made to them: We rescued them and those whom We wished, and We destroyed those who exceeded all bounds.[11]
11. History not only tells us that the former Messengers were human beings but it also contains a lesson that they all received Allah’s succor as promised by Him and their enemies were completely destroyed. Therefore you should seriously consider the goal for which you are heading.
