📖 Commentary of Surah Al-Jāthiyah – Verse 62

"And let not Shaitaan misguide [108] you. Indeed, he is your open [109] enemy."

✅ [108] The Deceptive Influence of Shaitaan

This refers to Shaitaan’s attempts to mislead you by preventing correct belief in the Day of Judgment, the descent of Hazrat Isa (peace be upon him), or obedience to and following the Prophet ﷺ. His goal is to sow doubt and confusion, steering people away from the true path.

✅ [109] Shaitaan as an Open Enemy

Shaitaan was expelled from Paradise because of your forefather, Hazrat Adam (peace be upon him). Therefore, he can never be your friend but remains your clear and open enemy, always seeking to lead you astray.

Ibn-Kathir

The tafsir of Surah Zukhruf verse 62 by Ibn Kathir is unavailable here.

56. Hinder you: hinder you from believing in Resurrection.

(62) And never let Satan avert you. Indeed, he is to you a clear enemy.
