Transliteration:( Wa la'in sa altahum man khalaqahum la yaqoolun nallaahu fa annaa yu'fakoon )
"If you ask them who created them, they will surely say: 'Allah' [151]. Then, how are they deluded? [152]"
Those giving this response are the polytheists of Arabia, not the atheists, since atheists deny Allah's existence entirely. These polytheists acknowledged that Allah is the Creator, yet they were still deemed disbelievers because they rejected the Holy Prophet ﷺ. From this we learn that belief in Allah’s existence and attributes alone is not sufficient for faith. True Imaan demands belief in the Prophethood as well. Even Shaitaan acknowledges Allah's existence but is still an infidel due to his rejection of the command tied to Prophethood.
Although they acknowledge Allah as their Creator, they still deny His Oneness and reject the Holy Prophet ﷺ, which exposes their delusion. This verse illustrates the contradiction in their belief—they affirm the Creator, yet persist in polytheism and denial of truth.
