Transliteration:( Am yahsaboona annaa laa nasma'u sirrahum wa najwaahum; balaa wa Rusulunaa ladaihim yaktuboon )
"Or, do they think that We do not hear their secrets and what they conspire? Yes, indeed, and Our angel messengers are present with them, writing [140] everything."
This verse firmly establishes that nothing is hidden from Allah — not even the deepest secrets or concealed conspiracies. The disbelievers may assume their private meetings and secret plots go unnoticed, but Allah hears everything. Not only that, angelic scribes (Kiraman Katibeen) are always present, diligently recording every word, action, and intention of each individual.
Scholars explain that while Allah’s knowledge is absolute and does not need documentation, the writing is meant as a formal record for human accountability — to be presented on the Day of Judgment. Some have noted that for infidels, only evil deeds are recorded as their good acts bear no weight in the absence of faith, while the second angel serves as a witness. This verse is a reminder that nothing escapes the divine system of justice, and every whisper of the soul is preserved for eventual reckoning.
