وَتَوَكَّلۡ عَلَى ٱلۡعَزِيزِ ٱلرَّحِيمِ

Transliteration:( Wa tawakkal alal 'Azeezir Raheem )

217. And rely upon him Who is the Mighty, the Merciful [215]. (Kanzul Imaan Translation)

📖 Commentary of Surah Ash-Shu'ara – Verse 217

"And rely upon Him Who is the Mighty, the Merciful [215]."

✅ [215] True Reliance: Effort with Trust in Allah

This verse teaches that placing trust in Allah does not mean abandoning effort. After its revelation, the Holy Prophet ﷺ prepared for battles by gathering resources and organizing soldiers. Thus, true reliance (tawakkul) means to utilize available means while keeping complete trust in Allah, Who is both All-Powerful (Al-Aziz) and Most Merciful (Ar-Raheem).
