📖 Commentary of Surah Ash-Shu'ara – Verse 114

"And I am not to drive away the believers [116]."

✅ [116] Honour and Protection for the Faithful

Prophet Nuh (عليه السلام) firmly rejects the demand of the arrogant leaders to expel the poor and humble believers. He declares that it is not permissible for him to drive away those who have believed sincerely, regardless of their social status. This verse upholds the principle that in Islam, faith is the true measure of worth, and every believer—rich or poor—is honoured and protected in the sight of Allah.
