Transliteration:( Wa naza'a yadahoo faizaa hiya baidaaa'u linnaa zireen (section 2) )
"And he drew forth his hand, and it was shining white to the beholders [42]."
Musa (عليه السلام) then showed his second miracle—his hand emerged radiantly white, shining with divine light, not due to any disease. It was a visible sign meant to amaze and awaken those who witnessed it.
The tafsir of Surah Ash-Shura verse 33 by Ibn Kathir is unavailable here.
Please refer to Surah Shura ayat 29 which provides the complete commentary from verse 29 through 37.
(26:33) and he drew his hand (out of his armpit) and lo! it had become a shining object to the beholders.[28]
28. Some commentators under the influence of the Israelite traditions have translated baida as white and have taken it to mean that the healthy hand when drawn out of the armpit became white as if struck by leprosy. But commentators like Ibn Jarir, Ibn Kathir, Zamakhshari, Razi, Abul Saud Imadi, Alusi and others agree that baida here means shining and bright. As soon as Prophet Moses (peace be upon him) took his hand out from the armpit, it made the whole place bright as if by the sun. For further explanation, see (Surah TaHa, ayat 22) note 13.
