    📖 Commentary of Surah Al-Hijr – Verse 20

    And We have provided for you therein means of livelihood [26], and for those whom you do not sustain.

    ✅ [26] Means of Livelihood for All

    Although your maidservants and animals eat our provisions, they work for you. Allah has made provisions for all of creation, and it is through His mercy that both humans and animals benefit from the sustenance of the earth.

    Ala-Maududi

    (15:20) And We have provided sustenance for you on it and also for those of whom you are not the providers.

    There is no commentary by Abul Maududi available for this verse.

    (20) And We have made for you therein means of living and [for] those for whom you are not providers.[672]

    [672]- Allāh has put at your service other men and animals for which He provides. An additional meaning is that Allāh provides means for your living and for all other creatures as well.
