قَالَ وَمَن يَقۡنَطُ مِن رَّحۡمَةِ رَبِّهِۦٓ إِلَّا ٱلضَّآلُّونَ

Transliteration:( Qaala wa mai yaqnatu mir rahmati Rabbiheee illad daaaloon )

56. He said, 'And who despairs of the mercy of his Lord except those who are astray?' [65]. (Kanzul Imaan Translation)

📖 Commentary of Surah Al-Hijr – Verse 56

"He said, 'And who despairs of the mercy of his Lord except those who are astray?' [65]"

✅ [65] Confidence in Divine Mercy

This verse tells us that Hazrat Ebrahim (عليه السلام)'s earlier question was not out of rejection, but rather an inquiry into the specific nature of the miraculous birth.

He was not disheartened or doubtful in any way. In fact, this verse makes it clear that to despair of Allah’s mercy is not befitting the status of a Prophet. Such despair is a trait only found in those who are truly astray, and Prophets are far above such states.
