قَالَ وَمَن يَقۡنَطُ مِن رَّحۡمَةِ رَبِّهِۦٓ إِلَّا ٱلضَّآلُّونَ

Transliteration:( Qaala wa mai yaqnatu mir rahmati Rabbiheee illad daaaloon )

56. He said, "Who can be Lord disappointed from the Mercy of his except those who are misguided' (65).

65. This tells us that this question was not due to rejection, but to enquire about the particular nature of the birth. Nevertheless, Hazrat Ibrahim (On whom be peace) was not disheartened. To be despondent with Allah is against the status of a Prophet.
