Transliteration:( Allazeena yaj'aloona ma'al laahi ilaahan aakhar; fasawfa ya'lamoon )
Those who have made another deity besides Allah; soon they will know [107].
✅ [107] Consequences of Associating Partners with Allah
This verse refers to the same individuals who mocked the Prophet ﷺ and committed shirk (associating others with Allah). It serves as a warning that those who place others beside Allah will soon face the consequences of their actions.
All five of these mockers met tragic ends before the Battle of Badr, as recorded in Roohul Bayaan:
Aswad bin Muttalib: He died by bashing his own head against a tree, repeatedly crying out, "I do not know who is crushing my head!"
Harith bin Qais: After eating fish, he was afflicted with extreme, unquenchable thirst and died as a result.
These events highlight that:
Polytheism leads to destruction—both in this world and the Hereafter.
Allah’s promise of justice is fulfilled even in worldly life.
Those who elevate false deities or oppose truth will eventually realize their error, but often when it is too late.
(15:96) those who set up another deity alongside Allah. They shall soon come to know.
