    📖 Commentary of Surah Al-Hijr – Verse 95

    Indeed, We suffice you against the mockers [106].

    ✅ [106] Divine Protection from Mockery
    This verse reassures the Holy Prophet ﷺ that Allah Himself will protect him from those who mock or ridicule him.

    It was revealed in response to the actions of five prominent leaders of the Quraysh:

    • Aas bin Wail

    • Aswad bin Muttalib

    • Aswad bin Abd Yaghoos

    • Harith bin Qais

    • Waleed bin Mugheerah

    These men persistently insulted and harassed the Prophet ﷺ, mocking him and his message. However, each of them eventually met a terrible end, affirming Allah’s promise.

    The message here is clear:

    • The honor of the Prophet ﷺ is safeguarded by Allah Almighty.

    • Enemies of the truth will face Divine retribution, even if not immediately.

    • Believers should remain firm and not be disheartened by mockery or opposition.

    This verse remains a powerful assurance for all who work in the cause of Islam — that Allah defends His messengers and ultimately silences the mockers.
