Transliteration:( Laqaaloo innamaa sukkirat absaarunaa bal nahnu qawmum mashooroon )
Even then they would say, "Our eyes have been dazzled [16]; rather, we are a people bewitched [17]."
From this, there is a hint that any heart in which there is hatred for the Holy Prophet ﷺ will not receive guidance for faith. Any person who is to be blessed with faith will first receive in his heart the love and dignity of the Holy Prophet ﷺ.
From this, we learn that if there is enmity in a heart, it will not prove effective and beneficial for him. The disbelievers’ rejection of the truth was rooted in their enmity and opposition to the Prophet ﷺ, which caused them to be blind to the message.
