Transliteration:( Wa kaanoo yanhitoona minal jibaali buyootan aamineen )
And they used to carve out houses in the mountains, feeling secure [94].
✅ [94] False Sense of Security
The people of Thamud were highly skilled in stonework, carving homes into the mountains with great craftsmanship. These homes gave them a sense of protection from danger, believing they were safe from collapse, theft, or calamity.
However, this apparent security led to arrogance. They became heedless of Allah Almighty, falsely thinking their strength and achievements could shield them from Divine punishment.
What was a blessing from Allah in one sense became a curse due to their disbelief and pride. This verse reminds us that real safety lies in faith and humility, not in material fortresses.
(15:82) They used to hew out houses from the mountains[46] and lived in security.
46. That is, their strong and secure buildings, which they had hewed into the mountains, could not protect them from the blast.
