The summary/theme of the surah at-Tahrim :

According to this Surah, the Prophet, whose reverence and respect Allah Himself enjoins as a necessary part of the faith of His servants, once made a thing allowed by Allah unlawful for himself only to please his wives.

Lesson learned from surah at-Tahrim :

  1. Do not forbid unto yourself anything Allāh has made lawful for you, in order to please others.
  2. Never think of the Prophet ﷺ to be alone, because Allāh, Jibrīl, the good Muslims and the angels, all staunchly support him.
  3. The believers are duty-bound to save themselves and their family members from the Fire.
  4. The fuel of the Fire of Jahannam shall be people and stones.
  5. The angels appointed over Jahannam are severe and tough, unwavering in their obedience to Allāh’s commands.
  6. Repent to Allāh sincerely.
  7. Allāh shall not disgrace the Prophet ﷺ nor those who believed with him, on the Day of Judgement.
  8. Read this du‘ā: رَبَّنَا أَتْمِمْ لَنَا نُورَنَا وَاغْفِرْ لَنَا إِنَّكَ عَلَى كُلِّ شَيْءٍ قَدِيرٌ  ‘Our Rabb! Perfect for us our light, and forgive us. Indeed you are powerful over everything.’

1.Never deceive those who place their trust in you.
