The summary/theme of the Surah Ar-Ra'd,:

The main theme of this Surah is that the Message of Allah is the Truth. People should not reject it. The arguments in the whole Surah revolve around this theme, and the Message's three core components, Tawhid (God is One), Risalat (Prophethood), and Resurrection, are repeated over and over.

Lesson learned from Surah Ar-Ra'd,:

  1. Allah's knows the unseen and the seen.
  2. Allah's does not change the state of a people unless they change what is within them.
  3. Only through the remembrance of Allah's do hearts find contentment.
  4. Despite presenting numerous irrefutable proofs of prophethood, ultimately the Prophet ï·º was told to say, if you do not believe, Allah's is enough as witness between me and you. There comes a time when presenting proofs and evidences have no effect. At that point, one’s faith should be resorted to.

Transliteration:( Allaahul lazee raf'as samaawaati bighairi 'amadin tarawnahaa summas tawaa 'alal 'Arshi wa sakhkharash shamsa walqamara kulluny yajree li ajalim musammaa; yudabbirul amra yufassilil Aayaati la'allakum biliqaaa'i Rabbikum tooqinoon )
2. Allah is He Who raised up the heavens without pillars that you can see. [5] Then He established Himself on the Throne [6] and made the sun and the moon subservient. Each one runs its course for a specified term. [7] He plans every affair and explains the signs in detail so that you may believe in the meeting with your Lord. [8]

Transliteration:( Wa Huwal lazee maddal arda wa ja'ala feehaa rawaasiya wa anhaaraa; wa min kullis samaraati ja'ala feehaa zawjain ithnayn; Yughshil lailan nahaar; inna fee zaalika la aayaatil liqawminy yatafakkaroon )
3. And He is the One who spread the earth [9] and placed in it firm mountains [10] and rivers. And He made therein two kinds of every fruit. [11] He covers the night with the day. Indeed, in that are signs for people who reflect. [12]

4. And in the earth, there are neighboring plots [13] and gardens of grapevines, crops, and palm trees, some growing from a single root, and others standing alone. [14] All are watered with the same water, yet We make some better than others in taste. Indeed, in that are signs for people who use reason.

Transliteration:( Wa in ta'jab fa'ajabun qawluhum 'a-izaa kunna turaaban 'a-inna lafee khalqin jadeed; ulaaa 'ikal lazeena kafaroo bi Rabbihim wa ulaaa'ikal aghlaalu feee a'naaqihim wa ulaaa'ika Ashaabun Naari hum feehaa khaalidoon )

[16] Those are the ones who have disbelieved in their Lord, [17] and they will have chains around their necks. [18] They are the inhabitants of the Fire, and they will abide therein forever.
