Transliteration:( Qaalat yaaa aiyuhal mala'u innee ulqiya ilaiya kitaabun kareem )
"The woman said, 'O chiefs! Indeed, there has been cast a noble letter towards me.' [60]"
When Queen Bilqis received the letter from Prophet Sulaiman (peace be upon him), she immediately recognized its dignity and weight, referring to it as a “noble letter.” This respectful acknowledgment was due to its content and presentation:
It began with “Bismillah hir-Rahman nir-Raheem”, invoking Allah's Name, Mercy, and Compassion.
It ended with the seal of Sulaiman, signifying official authority and divine backing.
Her address to her chief advisors shows her wisdom and consultative leadership, and her words reflect how the tone and formality of the letter impressed her deeply. Even before reading its full content, she recognized it as honorable and extraordinary, marking a turning point in her path toward truth.
