Quran-9:88 Surah At-tawbah English Translation,Transliteration and Tafsir(Tafseer).

Transliteration:( Laakinir Rasoolu wal lazeena aamanoo ma'ahoo jaahadoo bi amwaalihim wa anfusihim; wa ulaaa'ika lahumul khairaatu wa ulaaa'ika humul muflihoon )

88. But the Messenger and whoso believed (240), with him, fought with their wealth and lives. And it is them for whom there is good (241), and it is they who reach their goal.

240. By this association of time and condition because the faith of the Holy Prophet prior to the faith of creation and is greater in excellence to the faith of everyone else. Thus only conformity of faith is intended here, ie they believed with such zeal and sincerety like our Beloved Rasool  had believed,

Bilqees had said   "And I had believed with Hazrat Sulaiman". This tells that our Holy Prophet .is the true test of faith .Anyone whose faith is in conformity with his would be regarded as correct, if it is contrary too his, it would be regarded as false and incorrect. 

241. Virtues and benefit of this world, the grave, the Hereafter, are all included in it. From this we learn that there is excellence in the wealth and deeds of the Muslim soldier, and he is protected from the accountability and punishment of the grave the fears and pangs of death, and he shall gain high status in the Hereafter. There was so much blessings in the wealth of Hazrat Zubair ibn Awaam (May Allah be pleased with him) that after his martyrdom his will was settled from just one third of his entire wealth, then one eight of the estate was distributed amongst his four wives from which each received two hundred thousand coins.

88. But the Messenger and those who believed with him strove hard and fought with their wealth and their lives. Such are they for whom are the good things, and it is they who will be successful. 89. For them Allah has prepared Gardens (Paradise) under which rivers flow, to dwell therein forever. That is the supreme success.

After Allah mentioned the sins of the hypocrites, He praised the faithful believers and described their reward in the Hereafter,

﴿لَـكِنِ الرَّسُولُ وَالَّذِينَ ءَامَنُواْ مَعَهُ جَـهَدُواْ﴾

(But the Messenger and those who believed with him strove hard and fought) until the end of these two Ayat ï´¿9:88-89ï´¾. This describes the qualities, as well as, the reward of faithful believers. Allah said,

﴿وَأُوْلَـئِكَ لَهُمُ الْخَيْرَاتُ﴾

(Such are they for whom are the good things), in the Hereafter, in the gardens of Al-Firdaws and the high grades.

(9:88) But the Messenger and those who shared his faith strove with their belongings and their lives. It is they who shall have all kinds of good. It is they who shall prosper.
