Quran-12:81 Surah Surah-yusuf English Translation,Transliteration and Tafsir(Tafseer).

Transliteration:( Irji'ooo ilaaa abeekum faqooloo yaaa abaanaaa innab naka saraq; wa maa shahidnaaa illaa bimaa 'alimnaa wa maa kunnaa lilghaibi haafizeen )

81. Return you all to your father, and say, O our father verily your son has committed (175), theft, and we had become witnesses to this much what we had in our knowledge, and we were not guardians over the unseen.

Surah Yusuf Ayat 81 Tafsir (Commentry)

  • Tafseer-e-Naeemi (Ahmad Yaar Khan)
  • Ibn Kathir
  • Ala-Madudi

175. This means that the stealing has been linked to them. Therefore they had continued to say that we are not the guardians of the unseen. Allah Almighty knows best whether under the present circumstances they are thieves or not From this we learn that even after goods are recovered from a person, the onlookers cannot with certainty call such a person a thief. The judge too will pass the judgement of cutting of the hands after full investigation, not merely on finding goods in the possession of the person
