Transliteration:( Allaaha Rabbakum wa Rabba aabaaa'ikumul awwaleen )
"Allah Who is your [129] Lord and the Lord of your forefathers [130]."
The earlier word "creators" may refer to either the sculptors and designers of idols or to the false deities in whom the people believed.
They held the belief that some beings were small gods, while Allah Almighty was the “Big God” ruling over them. Hazrat Ilyas (peace be upon him) clarified that only Allah is the True Lord, not any created form.
He reminded them that their noble forefathers were believers and worshippers of Allah Almighty.
Just as the children of Hazrat Yaqub (peace be upon him) had declared:
“We shall worship the One who is your God and the God of your fathers, Ebrahim and Ismail...” (Surah Al-Baqarah, 2:133)
By invoking the faith of their righteous lineage, Hazrat Ilyas called them to return to the pure worship of Allah, the same as their pious ancestors had upheld.
