Transliteration:( Wa qaalooo in haazaa illaa sihrum mubeen )
"And they say: 'This is not but an open magic [18]'"
Although magical power has no effect in the heavens, and through magic, a thing does not truly change—both of these facts clearly do not apply to miracles.
Observe: when the walking stick of Hazrat Musa (peace be upon him) turned into a real snake, it swallowed all the snakes of the magicians. But those so-called snakes could not swallow his staff, because they were not real snakes—they were actually ropes that only appeared like snakes through illusion.
This demonstrates that miracles are real transformations, not tricks or illusions like magic. Yet the disbelievers falsely label them as “open magic”, ignoring their divine origin.

10. That is, this person is talking of the world of magic in which the dead will rise, and will be produced before a court and sent to Heaven and Hell, or it may also mean: This person is talking like a madman. What he talks is a clear proof that somebody has worked magic on him; otherwise a sensible person could not talk such things.
