Transliteration:( Wa maa kaana lanaa 'alaikum min sultaanim bal kuntum qawman taagheen )
"And we had no control over you, but rather you, yourselves, were wrongdoing [31] people."
This is a continuation of the reply from the leaders to their followers. They claim:
“We were only your helpers and supporters, through which you became more firm in infidelity.”
But ultimately, you are responsible—you are the culprits of the original sin.
This dialogue highlights the mutual blame between misleaders and their followers, but the Qur'an affirms that each soul is responsible for its own choices.
