Transliteration:( Innahoo kaana fareequm min 'ibaadee yaqooloona Rabbanaaa aamannaa faghfir lanaa warhamnaa wa Anta khairur raahimeen )
"Indeed, a group [148] of My bondsmen used to say: ‘O our Lord, we believed, so forgive us and have mercy upon us; and You are the Best of merciful.’"
This verse refers to pious believers who, despite their righteousness, saw themselves as sinners and turned to Allah in humble repentance.
Their supplication began with: “We believed”, showing that faith itself is a means of seeking Allah’s forgiveness.
🔹 The disbelievers mocked their Du'a, even though these believers were truly close to Allah.
🔹 This teaches us to say:
“O Allah, we may sin, but we are not rebels. We are believers—so forgive us through the blessing of our Imaan.”
