    📖 Commentary of Surah Al-Mu’minoon – Verse 74

    "And indeed, those who do not believe in the Hereafter, necessarily they are deviated from the straight path [109]."

    ✅ [109] Disbelief in the Hereafter Leads to Misguidance

    This verse affirms a deep truth: belief in the Hereafter plays a central role in guiding a person’s life. Those who deny resurrection and accountability inevitably lose their way—they lack the moral compass and restraint that belief in the Day of Judgment instills.

    Without the fear of standing before Allah, people fall into sin, arrogance, and heedlessness. In contrast, awareness of the Hereafter drives one toward piety, humility, and responsible action.

    Thus, disbelief in the Hereafter is not just a theological error—it is a cause of total deviation from the straight path of truth, justice, and righteousness.

    71. This was the real reason why they were deviating from the right path. As they did not believe in the Hereafter, they thought that no account would be taken from them of what they did in this world. Therefore it did not matter whether they followed the truth or falsehood. Their only aim in life was to gratify the lusts of the flesh and gratify them in the best way possible.

    (74) But indeed, those who do not believe in the Hereafter are deviating from the path.
