📖 Commentary of Surah Al-Mu’minoon – Verse 22

"And upon them and on a boat you are borne [31]."

✅ [31] Means of Transportation

This means Allah Almighty enables you to be transported both on land animals and boats. By yourselves, you have no power to move across long distances in this manner. Also, not every animal is suitable for transport—only specific ones like camels and oxen have been created with that ability, which again points to divine wisdom and planning.

Ibn-Kathir

Ala-Maududi

(23:22) and are carried on them and also on ships.[23]

23. The benefits of cattle as means of conveyance have been mentioned here along with the ships, because in Arabia, camel was used mainly for this purpose, and has been called the ship of the desert for the same reason.

(22) And upon them and on ships you are carried.
