Quran-23:60 Surah Al-muminun English Translation,Transliteration and Tafsir(Tafseer).

Transliteration:( Wallazeena yu'toona maaa aataw wa quloobuhum wajilatun annahum ilaa Rabbihim raaji'oon )

60. And those who give what they give and their hearts are trembling (91) because they are to return (92) to their Lord.

91. This tells us that to do good deeds and fear Allah Almighty are signs of excellence of faith. There is no greatness in expressing fear after committing a sin. Even the devil had expressed "Verily I fear Allah. Lord of the Worlds" (S39 V16)
Thereafter. he continued sinning. However, to express fear after committing a sin as a means of giving up sins is an excellent thing.
And not expressing fear after committing a sin, is a criminal act.
92. We do not know what our reckoning would be, and whether these deeds would be accepted or not. Due to fear of this, we should not be proud of our deeds.

Ala-Maududi

(23:60) who give, whatever they give in charity, with their hearts trembling at the thought that they are destined to return to their Lord;[54]

54. This verse (60) may be elaborated like this: They serve their Lord and try their best to obey Him and do righteous deeds, but all along they remain humble in their hearts and are not puffed up with the pride of their piety. Nay, in spite of all their good deeds, their hearts are always filled with awe that they shall have to render an account to their Lord, and they are not sure whether they will come out successful in the judgment of their Lord or not. A concrete interpretation of this verse is afforded by Umar. Although he served his Allah in a way that was exemplary, yet he was so afraid of accountability to Him that he is reported to have said before death: I shall consider it a favor, if I am neither rewarded nor punished in the Hereafter. Hasan Basri has expressed the same thing in a beautiful manner: A believer obeys Allah and is yet fearful of Him, and a hypocrite disobeys Allah and is yet fearless of Him.
