Transliteration:( Fattakhaztumoohum sikhriyyan hattaaa ansawkum zikree wa kuntum minhum tadhakoon )
"Then you made them a laughing stock [150], until, in making them such, you forgot [151] My remembrance, and at them, you used to laugh."
The disbelievers used to mock the righteous believers—ridiculing their prayers, humility, and sincerity—considering them naïve or backward.
By constantly making fun of those close to Allah, they became indifferent and heedless—forgetting Allah’s remembrance entirely.
This verse shows how habitual mockery can lead to arrogance and eventually result in complete spiritual neglect.
