Transliteration:( Bal quloobuhum fee ghamratim min haazaa wa lahum a'maalum min dooni zaalika hum lahaa 'aamiloon )
"Nay, but their hearts are heedless [96] of it, and their deeds are separate [97] from those works that they are doing."
This refers to their heedlessness from the Holy Qur'an or from their own record of deeds. Their hearts are distracted and unaware of the truth and the reminders meant to awaken their conscience. This state of negligence leads them away from reflection, repentance, and spiritual awareness.
This means that the deeds of the evil-doers are entirely different from those of the pious. The actions of the righteous are marked by faith, sincerity, and virtue, while the wicked engage in sinful and self-serving acts. Thus, their deeds are distinguished and separated in quality and purpose from those that are accepted and rewarded.
