Transliteration:( A-yahsaboona annnamaa numiduhum bihee mimmaalinw wa baneen )
"And they imagine that by the wealth and children with which We are helping them [86]."
The disbelievers were deceived by their worldly success—wealth and children—thinking that if infidelity were truly wrong, Allah would not bless them. They questioned: “If Allah were displeased with us, why are we prospering, while the believers remain poor?”
This flawed thinking led them to mistake Allah’s leniency for approval. Even today, many negligent people fall into the same error, viewing material success as a sign of divine pleasure, rather than a test or a delay before punishment.
