    قَدۡ كَانَتۡ ءَايَٰتِي تُتۡلَىٰ عَلَيۡكُمۡ فَكُنتُمۡ عَلَىٰٓ أَعۡقَٰبِكُمۡ تَنكِصُونَ

    Transliteration:( Qad kaanat Aayaatee tutlaa 'alaikum fakuntum 'alaaa a'qaabikum tankisoon )

    66. Assuredly, My signs were recited to you, and then you used to turn back on your heels. (Kanzul Imaan Translation)

    📖 Commentary of Surah Al-Mu’minoon – Verse 66

    "Assuredly, My signs were recited to you, and then you used to turn back on your heels."

    ✅ Rejection of Divine Signs

    This verse rebukes the disbelievers for their attitude during worldly life. Allah’s signs—the verses of the Qur’an and the proofs of His oneness and power—were clearly and repeatedly recited to them.

    Yet, instead of reflecting or accepting the truth, they would turn away in arrogance, figuratively “on their heels”, rejecting the guidance out of stubbornness or pride.

    This turning away symbolizes their deliberate refusal to change despite having access to the truth and clarity of divine revelation.

    62. That is to say, in the worldly life you did not pay any heed to what the Messenger said. Nay, you did not even like to hear his voice.
