Transliteration:( Qaala Rabbi innee wahanal 'azmu minnee washta 'alar ra'su shaibanw wa lam akun bidu'aaa'ika Rabbi shaqiyyaa )
"He submitted, 'O my Lord, my bones have weakened [3], and my head has turned white with old age [4], yet I have never been disappointed in my supplication to You, O my Lord [5].'" (Kanzul Imaan Translation)
This means I have already become so old that even a strong part like my bones have become weak, let alone my flesh and blood.
The essence of this statement is to show that the weaknesses of old age have reached their limits.
This means all the hair of my head have become white. Not a single hair remains black.
It is narrated that Hazrat Ibrahim (on whom be peace) was the first person whose hair turned white.
This means until today You have accepted all my prayers. From this we learn that the duas of the Prophets are always accepted in the court of Allah Almighty.
It is for this reason that people approach them to make duas on their behalf.
At the time of making dua, it is important to mention your helplessness and deficiency to Allah Almighty.
Mentioning Allah Almighty's previous favours and bounties is the way of the Prophets and a means of acceptance of the dua.
It is as if the servant is making the past blessings a means to attract future mercy.
