The Kneeling, (Arabic: الجاثية, al-jāthiyah; meaning: "Upon Their Knees",[3] "Crouching") is the 45th chapter (surah) of the Qur'an with 37 verses (ayat).

The summary/theme of the Surah al-jathiyah: 

The Surah admonishes and warns those who reject the Divine truth. The Surah speaks about human arrogance and that God will judge everyone, and the nations will kneel in front of God at that time. It answers the doubts of Mecca's disbelievers about Tauhid and the Hereafter in this Surah.

Lesson learned from Surah al-jathiyah: 

  1. Allāh made subservient for man most things on earth.  
  2. Whoever does good, does so for his/her own benefit; and whoever does bad, will him/herself stand to suffer from it.  
  3. If you become a slave to your desires, you will deviate despite knowing the truth, and become blind and deaf to it.  
  4. On the Day of Qiyāmah, each nation will be seen on their knees, before their book of deeds is given to them.

بِسۡمِ ٱللَّهِ ٱلرَّحۡمَٰنِ ٱلرَّحِيمِ

 

أَمۡ حَسِبَ ٱلَّذِينَ ٱجۡتَرَحُواْ ٱلسَّيِّـَٔاتِ أَن نَّجۡعَلَهُمۡ كَٱلَّذِينَ ءَامَنُواْ وَعَمِلُواْ ٱلصَّـٰلِحَٰتِ سَوَآءٗ مَّحۡيَاهُمۡ وَمَمَاتُهُمۡۚ سَآءَ مَا يَحۡكُمُونَ
 Transliteration:( Am hasibal lazeenaj tarahus saiyiaati an naj'alahum kallazeena aamanoo wa 'amilu saalihaati sawaaa'am mahyaahum wa mamaatuhum; saaa'a maa yahkumoon (section 2) )

21.Do those who commit evil deeds think that We shall make them equal to those who believe and act righteous (42)? Is their life and their death equal? What an evil (43) judgement they make.

22.And Allah created the heavens and the earth with truth (44) that everyone may be awarded (45) his earnings, and they shall not be wronged (46),

 Transliteration:( Afara'ayta manit takhaza ilaahahoo hawaahu wa adal lahul laahu 'alaa 'ilminw wa khatama 'alaa sam'ihee wa qalbihee wa ja'ala 'alaa basarihee ghishaawatan famany yahdeehi mim ba'dil laah; afalaa tazakkaroon )

23.Have you seen him who has made his desire (47) to be his god, but Allah leaves him to go on the wrong(48) way despite his knowledge, and sets a seal upon his ears and his heart, and lays covering (49) on the eyes. Who would guide them except Allah? Do you not then heed (50)?

 Transliteration:( Wa qaaloo maa hiya illaa hayaatunad dunyaa namootu wa nahyaa wa maa yuhlikunaaa illad dahr; wa maa lahum bizaalika min 'ilmin in hum illaayazunnoon )

24. And they say (51): "It is only our world life in which we die and we live, and none destroys us but time(52). And they have no knowledge of it. They merely assume (53).

25. And when Our Clear Verses are revealed(54) to them, they have no argument except that they say: "Bring back our fathers"(55), if you are truthful".

26. Please declare (O Beloved Prophet): "Only Allah gives life (56) to you, then He causes you to die, then He will gather you all on the Day (57) of Resurrection, about which there is no doubt". But most of mankind does not know ".(58)

27 And for Allah is the Kingdom of the heavens and the earth. And on the Day when the Hour shall be stablished, on that day the liars will be the losers (59).

28. And you shall see every Ummah on their knees (60), summoned to see their record. Today you shall be awarded according to your deeds (61),

30.But those who believed and did righteous deeds (64), their Lord will admit them to His Mercy (65). This is the clear success (66).
