Transliteration:( Fadarabnaa 'alaaa aazaanihim fil Kahfi seneena 'adadaa )
"Then We struck their ears in the cave for many years [16]."
From this verse, two key points are derived:
The miracles of the saints are real. The Companions of the Cave were saints from the Bani Isra’il (Israelites), and their continued existence for centuries without food or water is a miracle of Allah.
A miracle can occur through a saint even while asleep or after their passing. The preservation of their bodies by the sand is also considered a miraculous sign.
Allah Almighty caused them to sleep soundly by sealing their hearing, thereby shielding them from all external disturbance. This was part of the Divine system of protection and preservation.
