📖 Commentary of Surah Al-Kahf – Verse 72

"He said, 'Did I not tell you that you would not be able to stay with me?'"

✅ Reminder of the Condition

This was Hazrat Khizr’s gentle reminder to Hazrat Musa (on whom be peace) of the initial condition laid down before their journey began: that no questions should be asked unless Hazrat Khizr himself explained the matter.

By saying, “Did I not tell you…”, Hazrat Khizr reaffirms that his knowledge and methods were beyond outward understanding, and thus required unquestioning patience.

This verse shows the importance of discipline and adherence to spiritual instruction, especially when seeking hidden knowledge where the wisdom behind actions is not immediately apparent.
