    📖 Commentary of Surah Al-Kahf – Verse 69

    "Musa said, 'Soon if Allah wills, you will find me patient [156], and I shall not disobey you in any affair [157].'"

    ✅ [156] Patience With Divine Permission

    Hazrat Musa (on whom be peace) expressed his intention to remain patient, but acknowledged that it would only be possible if Allah willed. This shows that his statement was made not from certain knowledge, but from personal resolve and hope, grounded in humility.

    He also said, “you will find me among the patient,” rather than directly stating “I will be patient”, which subtly reflects his cautious tone and reliance on Allah’s help.

    In contrast, Hazrat Khizr (on whom be peace) did not use such a conditional phrase, as his knowledge about Musa’s reaction was based on definite divine insight.

    ✅ [157] Teacher as the Authority in the Learning Process

    When Hazrat Musa added, “I shall not disobey you in any affair,” it confirmed his readiness to accept all commands from Hazrat Khizr.

    This reinforces the principle that in the path of knowledge, the teacher holds authority, and the student must remain obedient and humble, regardless of their own rank or status—even if that student is a Prophet of Allah.
