Transliteration:( Qaala haazaa firaaqu bainee wa bainik; sa unabbi'uka bi ta'weeli maa lam tastati' 'alaihi sabraa )
"He said, 'This is the separation [176] between me and you. Now I shall tell you the explanation [177] of those things over which you could not have patience [178].'"
Hazrat Khizr (on whom be peace) declared, “This is the separation between me and you”, indicating that Hazrat Musa’s repeated objections—despite earlier warnings—had now become the cause for parting ways.
From this we learn that spiritual guides and teachers should show leniency, overlooking one or two mistakes of their disciples or students. Separation should never be immediate, but rather a last resort when repeated breaches occur.
Hazrat Khizr then promised to explain the inner meanings and divine wisdom behind his seemingly strange actions. This shows that every action had a purpose, and now, Hazrat Musa would be fully satisfied upon learning the real reasons—reminding us that outward appearances can often conceal deeper truths.
Though Hazrat Musa (on whom be peace) showed a desire to continue learning from Hazrat Khizr, he did not persist after the separation, nor applied this particular knowledge in his future mission.
This entire journey was divinely intended to demonstrate to Hazrat Musa that there are some who possess knowledge beyond even a law-giving Prophet. It was a lesson in humility, showing that true knowledge can exist outside one’s own domain, and that divine wisdom operates on many unseen levels.
