Transliteration:( Wa'mur ahlaka bis Salaati wastabir 'alaihaa laa nas'aluka rizqaa; nahnu narzuquk; wal 'aaqibatu littaqwaa )
And bid your family for prayer, and be steadfast [190] over it. We ask not of you any sustenance. We shall provide [191] to you. And the good end is for those guarding evil [192].
From this, emerge three important issues:
The term “family” includes all household members—wives, children, siblings, etc.
A true worshipper is not just one who performs his own Salaah, but one who encourages and enforces it within the household as well.
The manner of enforcing Salaah differs:
Children and wives should be firmly directed to pray.
Brothers, cousins, and other relatives should be advised with words.
This means that you are not responsible for providing sustenance—neither for yourself nor for your family. Allah Almighty is the ultimate Provider.
However, this does not negate the obligation to earn a living. Numerous commands in the Qur’an and Hadith stress the importance of work.
But the real lesson here is: do not neglect the Hereafter in the pursuit of worldly sustenance.
This verse contains a subtle hint that good deeds lead to unexpected provisions.
As Allah says:
"And We will make a way for his deliverance. And will provide for him when he expects not." (Surah At-Talaq 65:2–3)

(20:132) Enjoin Prayer on your household,[114] and do keep observing it. We do not ask you for any worldly provision; rather, it is We Who provide you, and ultimately the pious will end up the best.[115]
114. That is, also teach your children that lawful provision is much better than the unlawful riches of the wicked people. For this purpose, enjoin them to say their prescribed Prayers, for this will change their attitude, their standard of values, and make them contented with pure provisions and virtuous life in preference to the life of sin and luxury.
115. It implies this: We do not ask you to offer your Prayers for any benefit of Our own. We ask you to do that for your own good, because this will create piety in you which will bring about true success for you in this world and in the Hereafter.
