Transliteration:( Qaala lahum Moosaa wailakum laa taftaroo 'alal laahi kaziban fa yus hitakum bi 'azaab, wa qad khaaba manif taraa )
Musa said to them, woe be to you, forge not a lie against Allah [73] that He may destroy you by torment and indeed, he who forged a lie remained unsuccessful'. [74]
Do not call miracles magic, as this is a lie against Allah. From this, we learn that to associate falsehood with the Prophets is to ascribe falsehood to Allah Almighty.
This teaches us that disobeying the Prophet of Allah leads to Divine punishment. Note that until this point, Pharaoh and his followers, despite their infidelity and polytheism, had not yet faced punishment.
But now, Hazrat Musa (peace be upon him) declares that Divine punishment will descend upon them because of their direct disobedience to him.
The tafsir of Surah Ta-Ha verse 61 by Ibn Kathir is unavailable here.
Please refer to Surah Taha ayat 60 which provides the complete commentary from verse 60 through 64.
(20:61) (At the time of the encounter) Moses said to them:[33] “Woe to you! Do not invent falsehoods against Allah[34] lest He destroy you with a scourge. Surely those who invent lies shall come to grief.”
33. The adversaries whom Prophet Moses addressed were Pharaoh and his courtiers who had dubbed him as a sorcerer, and not the common people, who had yet to see the encounter between him and the magicians.
34. The inventing of lie was that they had dubbed Allah’s Messenger as a sorcerer and his miracles as a piece of sorcery.
