Transliteration:( Wa qaaloo law laa ya'teenaa bi aayatin mir Rabbih; awa lam ta'tihim baiyinatu maa fis suhufil oolaa )
And the infidels said, "Why does he not bring us a sign [193] from his Lord?" And has there not come to them what was in the former scriptures? [194]
This refers to their unreasonable demands—such as a mountain of gold, or turning the barren land of Makkah into lush greenery—as proof of prophethood.
This means that the coming of the Holy Prophet ﷺ was already foretold in earlier scriptures, and his miracles far exceeded those of previous Prophets.

The tafsir of Surah Ta-Ha verse 133 by Ibn Kathir is unavailable here.
Please refer to Surah Taha ayat 131 which provides the complete commentary from verse 131 through 135.
(20:133) They ask: “Why does he not bring us a (miraculous) sign from his Lord?” Has there not come to them a Book containing the teachings of the previous scriptures?[116]
116. This means that the Quran itself is a great miracle, for though it is being presented by an unlettered person from among them, it contains the essence of the teachings and guidance of all tire previous divine Books. Not only that, it makes those teachings and guidance so plain and clear that even a simple man of the desert can benefit from them.
[868]- Is not the Qur’ān an adequate proof of Muḥammad's prophethood and sufficient as a lasting miracle?
