The summary/theme of the Surah Al-Ahqaf:

 It is a warning to those who deny the divine truth. It teaches arrogance and sinfulness is the way to destruction. People will stand before Allah on their knees.

Lesson learned from surah al-ahqaf:

  1. Allāh made subservient for man most things on earth.  
  2. Whoever does good, does so for his/her own benefit; and whoever does bad, will him/herself stand to suffer from it.  
  3. If you become a slave to your desires, you will deviate despite knowing the truth, and become blind and deaf to it.  
  4. On the Day of Qiyāmah, each nation will be seen on their knees, before their book of deeds is given to them.

بِسۡمِ ٱللَّهِ ٱلرَّحۡمَٰنِ ٱلرَّحِيمِ

 

يَٰقَوۡمَنَآ أَجِيبُواْ دَاعِيَ ٱللَّهِ وَءَامِنُواْ بِهِۦ يَغۡفِرۡ لَكُم مِّن ذُنُوبِكُمۡ وَيُجِرۡكُم مِّنۡ عَذَابٍ أَلِيمٖ
 Transliteration:( Yaa qawmanaaa ajeeboo daa'iyal laahi wa aaminoo bihee yaghfir lakum min zunoobikum wa yujirkum min 'azaabin aleem )

31."O our people responds (88) to Allah's Summoner and believe in Him that He may forgive(89) some of our sins and save you from the painful (90) punishment".

32."And whosoever does not respond o Allah's Summoner, he cannot frustrate Him in the earth and such one has no helper (91) against Him. Such are in clear error".

 Transliteration:( Awalam yaraw annal laahal lazee khalaqas samaawaati wal arda wa lam ya'ya bikhal qihinna biqaadirin 'alaaa aiyuhyiyal mawtaa; balaaa innahoo 'alaa kulli shai'in Qadeer )

33.Have they not known that Allah, Who created the heavens and the earth, and was not tired while repeating them, has the power to give ife (92) to the dead? Yes, surely, He as the power (93) over everything.

وَيَوۡمَ يُعۡرَضُ ٱلَّذِينَ كَفَرُواْ عَلَى ٱلنَّارِ أَلَيۡسَ هَٰذَا بِٱلۡحَقِّۖ قَالُواْ بَلَىٰ وَرَبِّنَاۚ قَالَ فَذُوقُواْ ٱلۡعَذَابَ بِمَا كُنتُمۡ تَكۡفُرُونَ
 Transliteration:( Wa Yawma yu'radul lazeena kafaroo 'alan naari alaisa haaza bil haqq; qaaloo balaa wa Rabbinaa; qaala fazooqul 'azaaba bimaa kuntum takfuroon )

34. And on the Day when the infidels shall be exposed before the fire, it will be said to them: "Is this not the truth(94) They will say: "Why not, it is so by our Lord". It will be said to them: Taste then the punishment as the award of your infidelity (95)".

فَٱصۡبِرۡ كَمَا صَبَرَ أُوْلُواْ ٱلۡعَزۡمِ مِنَ ٱلرُّسُلِ وَلَا تَسۡتَعۡجِل لَّهُمۡۚ كَأَنَّهُمۡ يَوۡمَ يَرَوۡنَ مَا يُوعَدُونَ لَمۡ يَلۡبَثُوٓاْ إِلَّا سَاعَةٗ مِّن نَّهَارِۭۚ بَلَٰغٞۚ فَهَلۡ يُهۡلَكُ إِلَّا ٱلۡقَوۡمُ ٱلۡفَٰسِقُونَ
 Transliteration:( Fasbir kamaa sabara ulul 'azmi minar Rusuli wa laa tasta'jil lahum; ka annahum Yawma yarawna maa yoo'adoona lam yalbasooo illaa saa'atam min nahaar; balaagh; fahal yuhlaku illal qawmul faasiqoon (section 4) )

35. So be patient, as had the resolute(96) Messengers. And do not be in haste(97) about them. On that day(98) they will see the penalty, which they were promised (99). It shall be as if they had not stayed in the world but for an hour of a single day. This (warning) is conveyed. Then, who shall be destroyed. except the disobedient people?
