The summary/theme of the Surah Ibrahim:

This surah is an admonition to the disbelievers who were dismissing the message of Muhammad and devising cunning plans to crush his mission. Be that as it may, notice that impugning, scolding, and rebuking overwhelm admonitions.

Lesson learned from Surah Ibrahim:

  1. If you are grateful and thank Allāh, He will increase you in favours; but if you are ungrateful, His punishment is severe.  
  2. Shayṭān will dramatically turn his back on those who followed him on the Day of Judgement.  
  3. Nothing can be hidden from the Knowledge of Allāh  
  4. Never think of Allāh to be neglectful of the actions of the oppressors.  
  5. Allāh never goes against His promise.  
  6. Make it a point to say this du‘ā:  رَبِّ ٱجۡعَلۡنِى مُقِيمَ ٱلصَّلَوٰةِ وَمِن ذُرِّيَّتِى ‌ۚ رَبَّنَا وَتَقَبَّلۡ دُعَآءِ، رَبَّنَا ٱغۡفِرۡ لِى وَلِوَالِدَىَّ وَلِلۡمُؤۡمِنِينَ يَوۡمَ يَقُومُ ٱلۡحِسَابُ'O my Rabb! Make me one who establishes ṣalāh and from my progeny too [create those who establish ṣalāh], and accept this prayer of mine. O our Rabb! Forgive me, my parents and the Believers on the day the accounting is established.’[1] 14:40-41  If you try to count the blessings of Allāh, you will be unable to do so.

رَبَّنَا ٱغۡفِرۡ لِي وَلِوَٰلِدَيَّ وَلِلۡمُؤۡمِنِينَ يَوۡمَ يَقُومُ ٱلۡحِسَابُ
 Transliteration:( Rabbanagh fir lee wa liwaalidaiya wa lilmu'mineena Yawma yaqoomul hisaab )

41. 'O our Lord, forgive me, and my parents"(91) and all Muslims on the day when the reckoning shall take place (92),

42. And consider Allah never unaware of the deeds of the unjust (93). He is not letting them loose but to a day in which their eyes shall remain staring (94).

43. They will come out running (95) rashly raising their heads high, that their eyelashes do not turn back towards them, and there would be no strength in their hearts (96),

 Transliteration:( Wa anzirin naasa Yawma yaateehimul 'azaabu fa yaqoolul lazeena zalamoo Rabbanaaa akhkhirnaaa ilaaa ajalin qareebin nujib da'wataka wa nattabi 'ir Rusul; awalam takoonooo aqsamtum min qablu maa lakum min zawaal )

44. And warn mankind of the day (97) when the torment shall come to them, then the unjust shall say (98); O our Lord, grant us respite (99) for a short term that we may respond to your call and follow the messengers'. Did you not swear before that we are not to go anywhere moving from the world? (100)

47. Therefore never consider (105) that Allah will go against His promise to His messengers. No doubt Allah is Dominant, the Lord of retribution.

 Transliteration:( Yawma tubaddalul ardu ghairal ardi wassamaawaatu wa barazoo lillaahil Waahidil Qahhaar )

48. The day when the earth shall be changed other than this earth and the heavens (106) too, and all shall come outstanding (107) before Allah, the One Who is Dominant overall.

50. Their shirt (109) shall be of pitch and the fire shall cover their faces.
